Age Groups — Summer 2026
We’re planning teams across five age bands. All teams pending sufficient interest — we run a team only if enough players vote yes.
How Age Brackets Work at Legends Eastern Invitational
The Legends Eastern Invitational uses March 1 as its age cutoff. Your child’s bracket is determined by their birthday relative to March 1, 2026 — not the US Lacrosse standard of August 31.
Your child’s bracket = the class year whose cutoff date falls right after their birthday.
Because this cutoff differs from the typical school-year calendar, each Legends bracket spans parts of two US Lacrosse graduation classes. The 2035 bracket is our youngest team — it is open to all players born after March 1, 2016, including those who will be 8 or 9 at tournament time.
Age Bracket Reference
| Legends Bracket | Born between | Typical age at June tournament |
|---|---|---|
| 2035 — 10U 8v8 | After March 1, 2016 (no lower limit) | 8, 9, or 10 years old |
| 2034 — 11U | March 2, 2015 – March 1, 2016 | 10 or 11 years old |
| 2033 — 12U | March 2, 2014 – March 1, 2015 | 11 or 12 years old |
| 2032 — 13U | March 2, 2013 – March 1, 2014 | 12 or 13 years old |
| 2031 — 14U | March 2, 2012 – March 1, 2013 | 13 or 14 years old |
Examples:
- Born June 2016 → 2035 bracket (10U) — turns 10 in summer 2026
- Born November 2015 → 2034 bracket (11U) — born after March 1, 2015 but before March 1, 2016
- Born September 2014 → 2033 bracket (12U) — turns 12 in fall 2026
- Born January 2015 → 2034 bracket (11U) — born after March 2, 2014 but before March 1, 2016
If you’re unsure which bracket your child falls in, contact us with their birthday and we’ll confirm.

Cost per Player
Final cost depends on format and tournament chosen. R3VA covers all team-level expenses (tournament entry, refs, field rental, insurance allocation, coaching admin). Per-player rates include a small operational margin (~15%) for coaching and program sustainability.
| Format | Tournament | Roster Size | Per Player |
|---|---|---|---|
| 7v7 | NC (July) | 12–15 | $215 |
| 8v8 | Richmond (June) | 14–17 | $241 |
| 10v10 | NC (July) | 16–18 | $200 |
| 10v10 | Richmond (June) | 16–24 | $241 |
Richmond (June) rates are the live registration price on PlayPass. NC (July) rates are estimates from the R3VA 2026 Internal Cost Breakdown — larger rosters spread fixed costs (tournament entry, field rental) across more players.
